WINNER of 2026 MLK State Oratorical

Winton Hills Academy 4th grader, Faith W., won 3rd place in the MLK State Oratorical competition in Columbus! Faith worked tirelessly, writing and practicing her brilliant speech. She competed against students from across Ohio and stood out as a contender with her energy and passion! Her words spoke of unity and Dr. King’s dream. Her ending left a message for us all:

“You all have beautiful skin, skin that shines in the sun in so many colors. Your eyes, they shine with hope and kindness, like a beautiful sky. We need to find the courage to shine for each other so that the dream can live on.”
